Le Kid Mohair est le poil tout doux de la jeune chèvre Angora. Le poil est sélectionné en fonction de sa finesse. On obtient un fil moelleux et confortable dont on fait ressortir les longs poils après filature.
La teinture du Kid Mohair est réalisée dans l’Ouest de la France chez Couleurs et Textiles.
Characteristics of Kid Mohair knitting yarn
1630 mètres au kilo env. = 81 mètres (ou 89 yards) dans 50 gr.
(Un yard = 0,9144 mètre et un mètre = 1,0936 yard).
- Recommended needles: 6 to 8
- Jersey sample: 10 cm = 11 stitches x 15 rows (using 8 needles)
Knit your sample and take its measurements: if it is smaller, use a larger needle, if it is larger, a smaller needle (generally, half a number is enough). - Hand wash at 30°, rinse with lukewarm water, dry flat. After drying, brush lightly to bring out the hair.
